American Health Care vs. Canada's

American Health care ranks in at 37, Canada which runs under universal health care ranks in at 30, Canadians get to choose their own doctors just as we do, for the Americans that can afford health insurance have that same privilege, In Canada however, not only those who can afford health insurance ( if it existed in Canada) so can the rich and the poor afford medical coverage, and get the help they need. According to Canada-healthcare.org, Under the health care system, individual citizens are provided preventative care and medical treatments from primary care physicians as well as access to hospitals, dental surgery and additional medical services. With a few exceptions, all citizens qualify for health coverage regardless of medical history, personal income, or standard of living. In America, sadly if you have a preexisting condition that could in danger a pro-profit insurance company then your denied, and without health insurance, then your stuck paying out of pocket, which can lead to medical bills piling up, and when that occurs and it comes out being to costly then you can end up bankrupt, which medical bills is what accounts for more then half the bankruptcies. So hopefully, when I start paying for my own health insurance that I'll be able to afford it, or maybe I can try just not getting sick, God knows what will happen, till then I try to eat healthy. Good Luck America!

Universal Health Care Cons

So like most arguments there are counterarguments, if that makes sense, universal health care can have it down sides too, for example we can have our taxes raised, we would be providing care to immigrants or tourist who visit America, but is that really the problem, first of all we'd be spending less saving over 2.5 trillion dollars each year, we would also have health care coverage for all it citizens no one will be denied care due to there health or preexisting conditions, and just as if we were to visit France or England, would it be right if they denied and charged us care for visiting and becoming ill? In my opinion I personally, would not mind paying for each others health care under a single payer health insurance. The question is do enough people want universal health care so we can act upon it?

Supporting Bills to establish UHC in America

Bills such as HR 676, 'The United States National Health Care Act" which have been established in 2003, to have universal health care for America, have been overlook by congress, but efforts to rally it again in 2010, have grown, but not to the extent of having universal health care a reality. In order to put in to action bill HR 676 the American public needs to contact their representatives and congressmen and protest for the abolishment of the current health care system in exchange for free universal health care for all citizens. The problem with the American public is that we are afraid of the government and have not taken in count that the government was placed for by the people for the people, but as time progressed the government has had more control over the American people. American citizens need to take back the power and to protest peacefully against the pro-profit health care system.

Testimonial by Linda Peeno

Linda Peeno who worked for  Health Maintenance Organizations, was basically one the people who had the authority of whether or not someone was to receive financial assistance in medical bills and such and to see if whatever treatment someone needed was considered to be payed for by the insurance agency, this is her testimonial she did in front of congress in 1996, where she was labeled a whistleblower, for spilling the beans on what really private insurance companies are after: Money and making profit, here's the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUGep9nLU9k

What to do in order to have UHC?

In order to have universal health care system in place in America, education is key, first educate the public and have awareness of our current health care system, and once the American public, or enough of the American public finds it as an important issue, then the government will take action and actually make our health care system a priority. Just as President Nixon back in the 70's wanted America to have the best health care system in the world, Universal health care will help America get there. On February 17, 1971, Richard Nixon met with John Ehrlichman to discuss the Vice President's position on health maintenance organizations, as heard in the film. The Miller Center of Public Affairs has this audio recording (conversation number 450-23. Who has the Best Health Care?

According to a World Health Organization report done in 2009, USA, ranks 37 in health care systems, virtually almost all countries with Universal or some sort of Universal health care rank above the US, for example, France is number 1, Germany number 25. There is also this article done by this public relations professional named Joe Eckert, in his article he basically is stating how America has one of the best health care providers in the world, but not the best system, he uses his personal experience on how he broke his collar bone in America, and he had health insurance, so he didn't have to pay, just fill out paper work and he was taken care of and he also points out how he was on a business trip to Marseille once and broke the same collar bone, and he was taken to the emergency room had his collar bone taken care of and no need of filling out papers or forms, they took care of him just because thats what they do with sick people, they take care of them, and he also points out how expensive the health insurance is, well i think this is long enough but the article is pretty interesting if a anyone cares to read it. heres the link http://www.cbsnews.com/2100-215_162-6223147.html
